A hard stone, Granite is extensively used as flooring tiles in many public and commercial buildings as well as in worktops and other surfaces. Granite is also used in the construction of monuments and tombstones.

Polished granite comes in a variety of colours, with unique patterns formed based on the proportion of minerals that make up the stone.
